We are delighted to have been involved in the Calton Village project, which was recently awarded Excellence in Regeneration and Sustainability at the CIH Awards.
Calton Village is a transformative new affordable housing development designed by Hypostyle Architects, delivering 254 homes for social and mid-market rent. The project features a diverse mix of 1–2 bedroom flats and 3–4 bedroom houses, breathing new life into a previously vacant site in Glasgow’s East End.
Developed by Wheatley Group and built by McTaggart Construction, with the support of Glasgow City Council’s Affordable Housing Supply Programme, the first phase was successfully completed in April 2025—with 123 high-quality, energy-efficient homes now handed over to their new residents.
With construction of the second phase already well underway and set for completion in 2026, we’re proud to have played our part in delivering sustainable, community-focused homes that help shape a brighter future for Glasgow.
